XRNS-PHP Helps You Make Music

XRNS-PHP is a collection of PHP5 command-line scripts for working with Renoise, a program for composing music using samples and sequencing. It provides tools to convert, merge, compress, and otherwise manipulate the data files that are produced by and used with Renoise. The purpose of these tools is to offer functionality beyond that of Renoise itself. The tools can plugged into XRNS Script Frontend, which provides a graphical interface. Currently, the following tools are available:

* xrns-sf: XRNS Script Frontend, a graphical interface to any PHP script (for Windows)
* clip2code: converts pattern data to simple text
* xrns_merge: merges 2 XRNS modules
* xrns_ogg: compresses XRNS and XRNI with OGG VORBIS
* xrns_randomizer: randomizes XRNS modules
* xrns2midi: translates an XRNS module to MIDI format
* xml2mid: converts a MidiXML file to MIDI format

For the uninitiated, Renoise is a contemporary software application based on the heritage and development of tracker styled music sequencers. Its primary use is the composition of music using samples (WAV, AIFF, FLAC, OGG, MP3) and MIDI sequencing of VSTi soft synths. It currently runs on Windows and Mac OS X.

In version 1.03 an issue with xrns_randomizer always defaulting to chaos mode and an xrns2midi tick-based effects bug have been fixed. Scripts can now accept any output path, not just cwd. xsd checking based on Renoise doc_version has been added. Ugly __MACOSX directories have been removed.
