Secunia notes vulnerabilities have been discovered in PhpGedView's login.php script, which can be exploited to conduct cross-site scripting attacks. Input passed to the 'username' parameter or the URL query string in login.php is not properly sanitised before being returned to the user. This can be exploited to execute arbitrary HTML and script code in a user's browser session in context of an affected site. The vulnerabilities are confirmed in version 4.1. Other versions may also be affected. The solution is to edit the source code to ensure that input is properly sanitised.
