The PHP development team has announced the immediate availability of PHP version 4.4.9, the final release of the PHP4 series for the language. Few of the enhancements and changes in the version 4.4.9 are as following:

· Upgrade to the PCRE version
· Fixed overflow in memnstr()
· Fixed crash bug in imageloadfont when an invalid font is given
· Fixed open_basedir handling issue in the curl extension
