NetBeans 6.5 Beta Out with PHP Support

Sun Microsystems’ NetBeans.org has published the first beta of NetBeans IDE 6.5, which includes support for PHP and an improved version of the JavaScript support that shipped in NetBeans 6.1.

The NetBeans IDE 6.5 Beta would now allow web developers to enjoy a robust PHP editing environment that includes all the standard features NetBeans users enjoy, such as: code completion, syntax highlighting, marking of occurrences, refactoring, code templates, pop-up documentation, easy code navigation, editor warnings, a task list, as well as a debugger.

Other features include improvements to JavaScript development with client-side debugging inside Firefox and Internet Explorer, HTML and CSS support. The NetBeans IDE 6.5 Beta release also includes enhanced support for web frameworks (Hibernate, Spring, JSF, JPA), the GlassFish application server, and databases.
